Full Stack WordPress Developer (Plugin Developer and Theme Developer)

Job Overview:

As a full-stack WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for developing custom WordPress plugins and themes. You will work closely with our design and marketing teams to create responsive, high-quality, and scalable solutions that meet our business needs. Your role will encompass both back-end and front-end development, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of WordPress websites.

Role and Responsibilities:

Plugin Development

Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress plugins.

Ensure plugins are secure, efficient, and compatible with the latest WordPress versions.

Troubleshoot and resolve plugin-related issues.

Collaborate with the team to integrate third-party APIs and services into plugins.

Theme Development

Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress themes from scratch or modify existing themes.

Implement responsive design principles to ensure themes work across various devices.

Optimize themes for speed and performance.

Ensure themes adhere to SEO best practices and accessibility standards.

Full Stack Development

Work with PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies to develop and enhance WordPress websites.

Develop and implement custom functionality using WordPress hooks, filters, and REST API.

Collaborate with designers to translate PSDs or wireframes into functional WordPress themes and plugins.

Integrate WordPress with other systems and platforms as needed.

Testing and Quality Assurance

Conduct thorough testing and debugging of themes and plugins.

Implement automated testing where applicable.

Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness.

Maintenance and Updates

Regularly update themes and plugins to comply with WordPress core updates.

Monitor and optimize website performance.

Provide technical support and maintenance for existing WordPress installations.

Collaboration and Communication

Work closely with the design, marketing, and content teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in WordPress development.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with popular WordPress page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery).

Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).

Familiarity with other CMS platforms and web technologies.

Experience with eCommerce platforms like WooCommerce.
